Australia represents the best hope George will ever have of overcoming the problems that this rare and cruel condition causes.

However, it is going to cost a lot of money to make this surgery happen. We will need to remain in Australia for a minimum of six weeks after George's operation for recuperation and monitoring. Consequently, on top of the £20,000 we have so far raised for the operation, we need more to cover flights, accommodation and living expenses while we are in Australia.
